Peach and Watermelon Sangria

If you haven’t figured it out yet, I’m quite taken with this summer’s fresh peaches. I’ve been buying them up at every farmer’s market I go to.

It’s becoming an obsession. (who, me obsess?)

I’m finding lots of fun ways to use up all of the peaches I’m buying.

Sure, there’s the peach crostini and grilled peaches that I’ve already written about. But I’ve baked them into pies, topped chicken with them and even made some peach and watermelon sangria.

Oh ya. There is nothing like sitting by the pool on the weekend with some peach and watermelon sangria I one hand and a good magazine in the other to make you forget about the stress of everyday life.

The beat part – by far – is munching on those wine-soaked peach slices. Heaven.

I’m making up a HUGE batch for Labor Day and calling in a lifeguard to watch the kids in the pool. Is that wrong?

What’s your favorite way summer afternoon cocktail?
